1. Is the Australian Young Lawyer affiliated with a University or Law Firm?

No. The Australian Young Lawyer is an independent Australian owned online publication. It is not affiliated with any University or law Firm.
 
2. I've already written about a topic as part of an assessment at University, can I submit it to be published on the Australian Young Lawyer?

Yes, of course you can, but only in the following circumstances:
 
1) That you meet one (1) of the eligibility requirements,
2) That your work meets our submission guidelines, and;
3) That the work has not been published in any other publication.
 
3. Does the Australian Young Lawyer accept all submissions?

No. The Australian Young Lawyer only accepts writing pieces that meet the submission guidelines.

4. Who can submit articles to the Site? 

To submit an article to be published on Australian Young Lawyer, you must be at least one (1) of the following: 

1) Are an Australian Law student enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate law degree, or

2) Are an Australian Law Graduate currently completing Practical Legal Training (PLT), or

3) Are an Australian Legal Practitioner practicing law in any Australian State or Territory.

5. What type of articles can I submit to be published? 

Your article can be a research essay, opinion piece, case study or review on any legal topic. 

6. Are all submissions published to the Site? 

No. All submissions are reviewed carefully before they are published to ensure that it meets all the satisfactory guidelines. We can refuse to publish an article where the author’s submission contains one or more of the following: 

1) Content that is irrelevant or is unlawful or offensive, such as that promoting racism, bigotry, hatred, harassment or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual or could be harmful to minors. 

2) Content that is false, misleading or promotes illegal activities or conduct that is abusive, threatening, obscene, defamatory or libellous. 

3) Promoting an illegal or unauthorised copy of another person's copyrighted work. 

4) Supplying Content that impersonates another person or entity. 

7. What are the guidelines for submitting an article to be published?

8. Do I have to pay any subscription or membership to read or submit articles on the Australian Young Lawyer? 

No. Access to submit a writing piece and to read all content published on the Australian Young Lawyer is FREE. 

9. Do you accept submissions made by law students, law academics and legal professionals outside of Australia? 

No. We only accept contributions from law students, graduates and young lawyers within the Australian jurisdiction. 
 
10. I have a complaint about an article published or a service provided on Australian Young Lawyer. How do I report it?
